There were a lot of people in the in the sprint and field events that had PR's, warm weather is more conducive for sprinters, throwers, jumpers, and usually not that good for distance runners. Still had a couple of good times from the distance runners.
Some of the events that stood out are the sprint relays, all hand-offs looked 110%better than last week. No dropped batons and a good amount of our relays got the baton around first. No one missed any events or complained about it being cold, great job everyone.
The last event of the evening was the most exciting, it happen to be the first real "race" of the evening also. The 4x400 guys were neck and neck from start to finish and through each hand-off, and it came down to the last 25 meters, but they all raced really hard and a couple of the guys came away with new 400 PR's.
The "coolest" event of the evening would have to be the boys High Jump where DJ Workcuff set a new SCHOOL RECORD with a jump of 6'8". He broke his own school record that he set last year when he won the State Meet with a jump of 6'6". He is currently leading the state with the best jump by at least 6 inches.
Congratulations to everyone, we had a great day of track. Keep up the hard work and lets keep these great results coming!
